That brings us to the end of our coverage. Make sure to join us again for tomorrow's PSL double-header. Take care everyone and see you soon!
Player of the Match, Rilee Rossouw: "[Importance of the win] It was a tough wicket to bat on, and we really needed this win. Saud Shakeel and I summed up the conditions very early and decided to keep the scoreboard ticking. We planned to bat in a more conventional way - keep wickets in hand and go deep into the innings. The last seven overs made a big difference for us, where we got 88 runs. [Preparation before the game] We sat down yesterday as a batting unit and discussed that the pitch in Karachi might play like this, so we were prepared. The plan was to take the innings deep with wickets in hand to reach a competitive total. It helps a lot knowing you have capable players like Hasan Nawaz, Jahandad, and others coming in after you. That allows you to play positive cricket with more confidence. [Hasan Nawaz's innings] He played an unbelievable innings once again, reminding us of what he did last year, and made a big impact for the team."
Kashif: "That catch from Saud was the turning point of the match. Jonty Rhodes would be absolutely proud of that!"
Tahir : "@Fahad, agreed. Riz is neither a natural hitter or good Stoke player. He can't play on offside, just slogger. Plus he has been out of form for a long time. He should let others bat up so that Pindiz are not pressure of scoring runs and loosing wickets "
10:16 pm Both teams shuffled their lineups, but only one of them really showed up with a complete performance. Pindiz were in trouble almost immediately, losing both openers inside the first three overs and putting themselves under early pressure. Yasir tried to counterattack with a few confident shots, but his stay at the crease was cut short in the powerplay when he was caught in the deep off Abrar. Mitchell had a slice of luck in the 10th over when he edged a scoop to the keeper, only for Shakeel to pass on the review. But that moment didn't change much. The Gladiators' spinners took control through the middle overs, tightening the scoring and chipping away with regular wickets. Pindiz began to fall apart, losing wickets in clusters, and any hope of a comeback quickly faded. Shakeel brought himself into action in the 13th over, striking twice in two balls to remove both Mitchell and Afridi and effectively shut the door on the chase. Masood provided a late spark with a quick 31 off 19 balls, but by then the game was already slipping away, and he had little support from the other end. It was a strong, disciplined effort from the Gladiators' bowling attack overall. Almost everyone contributed, with Khaleel the only one among the six bowlers not to pick up a wicket. For Pindiz, this defeat makes it five games without a win and leaves them rooted to the bottom of the table. The Gladiators, meanwhile, climb up to fifth with a well-earned victory.
