Player of the Match

It is goodbye from my side.

This brings an end to our coverage of this game. We now head to Lahore for the biggest rivalry of the PSL as Lahore Qalandars take on Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium. We are minutes away from the toss. Rashad Mahbub will take you through the highly-anticipated fixture tonight.

Mohammad Rizwan: This win is for the fans of the Rawalpindiz who have supported us throughout the season. Credit to our bowlers who saved runs in the powerplay as it was easy to score runs on the new ball. M Amir and Asif Afridi provided us a good start which kept United 10-15 runs below the par score.

Rizwan is the player of the match for his 45 off 38 with five fours and a six

Shadab Khan: We lost momentum in the powerplay as we did not make the most of it as a batting unit. We will have to forget this game and bounce back strongly before our next match tomorrow.

Shadab Khan hands the golden bail to Mohammad Rizwan

Sajid: "Man of the match? Gleeson?" -- Ouch!

Nisar: "First ever my prediction is going to be true. I predicted in the begining that RWP will win today"

RD: "One of those below average matches that wouldn't have been remembered for even a week had Pindiz not won their 1st game. A miracle just happened that makes this a historic game!"

Irfan: "Sports can be brutal and mentally challenging. I'd been wondering what the players might go through if they lost 10 out of out. Relieved to see them finally win."

Janzi: "Pindiz are out of tournament but I guess they won the rivalry of twin cities" -- They keep the golden bail till the next season

They constructed the run chase astutely by getting ahead of the scoring rate in the powerplay. Rizwan played a solid knock of 45 and was well supported by Kamran Ghulam who made 40 on his return to the side. The two added 78 crucial runs, but their dismissals around the halfway mark deflated the chase and soared the scoring rate. United seemed on course to pull off an improbable defense before Mitchell plundered Gleeson for a six and a four in the 17th over that brought 17 runs to Rawalpindiz.

This was a low-scoring contest on a pitch that did not offer any bounce and remained slow throughout the match. Rawalpindiz started the contest brilliantly by restricting United to 137 with their spinners and pacers hitting immaculate lines and length.

They might not be going beyond the league stage this PSL but they must be relieved to finally have the monkey off their backs as Rawalpindiz, ladies and gentlemen, finally have a win in the PSL.

Fatimah : "had promised myself for a biryani after class if united wins, guess the boys had other plans "

Sameer Minhas to Forrester, (no ball) 1 run, Bowls with the Sikandar Raza type action. Fuller outside off and it is driven to cover. He has overstepped. Oh no! Replay shows it was very tight and some part of his heel seems to be behind the line

Sameer Minhas is introduced into the attack. Interesting choice. Off-spin from around the wicket
