TOP STORY: Mourinho sees Kane opportunity
Jose Mourinho is hoping to take advantage of a contract standoff between Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane to tempt the striker into moving to Manchester United.
The Mirror reports that Mourinho is considering long-term striker options and has seen an opportunity because of growing frustrations between Kane and Tottenham.
Spurs are "refusing to budge on their wage structure," while it is said the England international wants financial parity with Three Lions teammates Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge, who earn in excess of £100,000 per week.
Talks have been postponed until the end of the season, and Kane is under contract until 2020, so Tottenham will feel under no pressure. However, United showed in the summer that they are able to attract top names and are not afraid to pay big prices.
Chelsea chasing Calhanoglu
Hakan Calhanoglu is being touted as a possible replacement for Oscar at Chelsea by the Sun, which reckons the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker would set the Blues back around £17 million.
The 22-year-old Turkey international is certainly talented, and he would bring plenty of top-level experience to Stamford Bridge.
It is reported that Calhanoglu has his heart set on playing in the Premier League and has "informed Leverkusen he wants to be allowed to leave."
At his prematch news conference on Friday, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was adamant that Oscar remains a big part of his plans, but the Brazilian has not started a Premier League match since the defeat to Liverpool on Sept. 16 and has been linked with a move away.
Reus a Sanchez contingency plan?
Alexis Sanchez has shown how important he is for Arsenal this season, with eight goals and five assists in 15 appearances, but in the eventuality of the Chile international failing to agree a new contract with the Gunners, Arsene Wenger is lining up a move for Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus.
With just 18 months left on his contract, the clock is ticking on a decision between Sanchez and Arsenal. According to the Mirror, Sanchez wants a new deal worth £200,000 per week and a release clause, leading Wenger to consider Reus, who is rated at £30m and a player whom Wenger has apparently courted previously.

- Alan Pardew has ruled out Frank Lampard returning to the Premier League with Crystal Palace, after it was confirmed the former Chelsea midfielder would leave New York City FC. The Croydon Advertiser quotes Pardew as saying: "I asked Frank about his time there -- he thoroughly enjoyed it -- and I've been in New York. It sounds like he is perhaps looking for another avenue now; we didn't discuss that being here [at Palace], by the way."
- The Birmingham Mail claims West Bromwich Albion face competition from AC Milan and Inter Milan for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho during the January transfer window. The 26-year-old has been frozen out by Jurgen Klopp and advised to move on by France boss Didier Deschamps.
- Burnley manager Sean Dyche will let Joey Barton train with the club but would not be drawn on speculation regarding a permanent move for the 34-year-old, who became a free agent when Rangers terminated his contract. Barton helped the Clarets earn promotion to the Premier League last season.
