Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of India's five-match ODI series in New Zealand and will instead join the India A squad for the third (and final) four-day game against New Zealand A. Mohammed Siraj, meanwhile, will be available for the second four-dayer for India A.

Prasidh, who is recovering from a left hamstring injury, "will need additional time to build up the workload required to be ready for matches," the BCCI said in a statement. "[Skipping the ODIs] will give him an opportunity to gain match practice and prepare for the Test series." The two-Test series will begin on November 19 after the ODIs run from November 4 to November 15.

Nitish Kumar Reddy will stay with the ODI squad for the first game, on November 4, and then link up with the A squad for the final four-day game, from November 7, "which will help him gain match practice" for the Test series," the BCCI said.
