Sunday's match represents the fourth Grand Prix final in a row for 'Cool Hand Luke' who beat Price in 2023, but fell to Mike De Decker in 2024 and Littler last time out.

Price registered his solo Grand Prix triumph in 2020, beating Dirk van Duijvenbode in the final.

The winner of Sunday's matchup will pocket £150,000, while the runner up will have to settle for an £80,000 cheque for their night's work at the Mattioli Arena.

Price is on record as saying he isn't the biggest fan of the Grand Prix's unique double in, double out format, but like Humphries, this is the fourth time he has reached the final.

Losing finals has been the story of Price's career over the last four years. Since winning the World Series in 2022, he has lost four major finals.

Should he lose again in Leicester, the Welshman will have lost the last three major finals in a row (July's World Matchplay vs. Littler, September's World Series vs. Ross Smith).

Humphries, meanwhile, is without a major tournament triumph since winning the Premier League last year. He is on a six-game losing streak in finals since then.
