India face England in a crunch clash at the FIH Women's Hockey World Cup today in Amstelveen, and you can follow all the action right here on ESPN.

India have a win and a draw from their opening two games - having beaten South Africa 6-1 after drawing 2-2 with China in their opening game. India need only a draw from this game against England to qualify for the next round, with England having lost 4-2 to China in their last game.

In the last five games against England, India have won two, drawn two and lost one. However, England won the most recent game between the two sides - a 2-0 win in the final of the World Cup qualifiers in Hyderabad back in March. Goals from Grace Balsdon and Elizabeth Neal on that day ensured that India didn't win that tournament, which was Sjoerd Marijne's first back in charge of this Indian team.

Since then, India have been impressive, winning the FIH Nations Cup and then making a strong start to this tournament, too. A huge positive for India will be that they scored five field goals against South Africa, and played attacking, front-foot hockey in that game, winning a game that they were expected to win, and doing so with a convincing performance.

After that game, Marijne still demanded improvements from his team, as they had given South Africa a few chances too many, before they eventually scored. However, India's style is unlikely to change.

Even against China, they played attacking hockey for the most part, but fell away in the third quarter, which allowed the Olympic silver medallists a route back into the game. India cannot afford to do that in this game, because England are a top side who will punish Indian mistakes.

The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. IST.
