LA Galaxy winger Hirving Lozano has earned first Mexico call-up in nearly a year after being named to Rafael Marquez's 30-man national team roster.
Currently on loan with the Galaxy from San Diego FC, the veteran winger had missed out on 2026 call-ups and the World Cup after a falling out with San Diego that left him without professional minutes until his move to the Galaxy in August.
Elsewhere, star forward Raúl Jiménez and Ballon d'Or nominee Julián Quiñones were left off the September/October call-up.
Both players recently suffered injuries, which thereby leaves the key attacking figures off the squad that will soon take part in friendlies against Colombia (Sep. 26), Peru (Sep. 29), the United States (Oct. 3), and Chile (Oct. 6).
Without the likes of Jimenez and Quiñones, Mexico will now be led by the likes of teen superstar Gilberto Mora, World Cup standout Érik Lira, and new Porto addition Santiago Gimenez, among others.
Among the clubs represented, Liga MX's Chivas have the most call-ups with a total of six. Raúl Rangel, Diego Campillo, Roberto Alvarado, Hugo Camberos, Santiago Sandoval, and Luis Romo.

Recently an assistant for former manager Javier Aguirre, Marquez noted earlier this month in his official unveiling that he's ready to take Mexico to "another level" after the foundation that was built in the previous cycle.
"I'm not starting from zero. Having worked with Javier [Aguirre] from start to finish gives me great confidence in continuing this process," Marquez said last week.
"I already know the players and the environment well, and I've been supported by a group of experienced people who have operated at the highest levels. That is exactly what we want: to take this national team to another level."
