Former Australia winger Wendell Sailor has decided to accept a two-year doping ban for taking cocaine.
The Australian Rugby Union suspended Sailor after he tested positive following New South Wales' clash with ACT Brumbies on April 16.
``I have decided to withdraw my appeal in the Court of Arbitration of Sport,'' said the former Leeds rugby league star in a statement.
``Ultimately, I accept that it was my error of judgement that has placed me in this position.
``I cannot stress enough that I did not and would never have attempted to cheat in sport through any means.
``Unfortunately I, like many other young Australians, fell to the off-field temptation of a so-called 'party drug'.''
Sailor, 32, has stated his intention to return to competitive rugby when his two-year suspension ends.
