Walter "The Rifle" Pandiani, also known as the world's sweatiest footballer, was unveiled Thursday at Uruguayan Second Division B side Atletico Baleares after Villarreal allowed the former Deportivo La Coruna, Birmingham City, Espanyol and Osasuna striker, 36, to tear his contract up at El Madrigal.
This in and of itself is not the least bit remarkable.
Hold your horses though. Atletico Baleares also unveiled a second January signing, one who just so happens to be Pandiani's 18-year-old son, Nico - who, along with his old man, shredded his contract at Villarreal (he was playing in the 'C' team) in order to complete a move back home with his poppa.
How about that?
The best bit is that both Pandiani senior and junior have come through their respective medicals and father and son are now being touted to both make their debuts against Huracan on Sunday afternoon - which, as far as we know, is a first!
Cracking.
