Should Vikings stick with Wentz over Murray for rest of season? (2:06)

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz will start Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills with Kyler Murray ruled out with a hamstring injury, coach Kevin O'Connell announced Thursday.

Murray is week-to-week with his injury but putting him on injured reserve is "not under consideration at all," O'Connell said.

This will be Wentz's second start of the season. He led the Vikings to a 9-3 victory against the Chicago Bears in Week 2 when Murray was out with a concussion.

Through his first six starts with the Vikings, Murray ranks No. 26 among 30 qualified quarterbacks in QBR.

The Vikings, however, are 6-1 behind a stout defense and sit atop the NFC North standings.
