Most assists in a WNBA game: Clark, Vandersloot and more

Since making her WNBA debut in 2024, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has proved why she was the No. 1 pick, thanks to her shooting, and success as a floor general. In addition to the records she broke during her NCAA career, she added yet another record to her résumé: the most assists in a single WNBA game.

On July 17, 20024 in a loss to the Dallas Wings, Clark dished out a record-breaking 19 assists, topping the mark previously held by Courtney Vandersloot, (18 assists against Indiana when with the Chicago Sky back in 2020).

Seven players have recorded at least 15 assists in a WNBA game. Here is a full breakdown of who those are the players that have recorded the most assists in a single WNBA game.

  • Alyssa Thomas: 15 assists (5 times, most recently vs Los Angeles on July 22, 2026)

  • Courtney Vandersloot: 15 assists (5 times, most recently vs Washington on July 10, 2021)

  • Ticha Penicheiro: 15 assists (twice, most recently vs Chicago on August 4, 2010)

  • Natasha Cloud: 15 assists vs Atlanta on September 8, 2023
