Handshakes all round, Bangladesh will be gutted after they collapsed spectacularly before lunch.

Job done for India, who will now focus on the series against South Africa, which will be a battle for the No. 1 ranking.

Breaking news: South Africa have sacked their selection panel, a day after Mickey Arthur stepped down from the coaching job.

Trivia This isn't the first time a team has chased down a target without any of their batsmen scoring a run. It has happened at least once before, when a no-ball from Syed Kirmani gave West Indies a win in Barbados in 1983.

Post-match presentation: Sachin Tendulkar gets a memento for becoming the first batsman to score 13,000 Test runs.

Zaheer is the Man of the Match for his ten-wicket haul.

Shakib: "We didn't bat two hours well, that's why we lost - first hour in the first innings, and an hour before lunch today. Everytime someone is getting runs, but we need two or three guys to score in each innings, that's something that we have to improve."

Zaheer is also the Man of the Series. "Particularly this match it was tough for the bowlers as the pitch kept getting slow and low, but once it started to reverse there was something in it for the bowlers.

"Still long way to go (to reach his best), still working on my fitness, this particular spell is a confidence-booster for me."

MS Dhoni collects the series trophy. "It was a difficult task to get 10 wickets in the second innings as there was nothing in the pitch to help either the fast bowlers or the spinners, that's one of the reasons we were keen to bowl first. Zaheer's spell was remarkable as I feel it was a fantastic wicket to bat on.

"We were looking for the new ball, but with the ball keeping low we wanted to see what the fast bowlers could do with the ball reversing, credit goes to Ojha as well as he got the wicket of Ashraful after which we decided to not go for the new ball."

Dhoni's record of never losing a Test as captain remains, but it is something that will be tested in the matches against South Africa next month.

  • Glimmers of hope in the gloom

If Bangladesh view this series as an opportunity lost, then there is hope for progress. They stood up to India on a few occasions but lost the plot under pressure, and were let down by their own weakness

  • Ishant outscores Sreesanth, while Zaheer dominates

A series between the top-rankers and the wooden-spoon holders of Test cricket was not expected to set the pulse racing, but India did their bit to spark some interest into a series that they ultimately won convincingly

  • 'We may have relaxed' - Shakib

Reflecting on his team's sensational collapse on the fourth day, the Bangladesh captain believes that his side paid the price for relaxing during the Mohammad Ashraful-Shahadat Hossain partnership

  • Zaheer walks the talk to swing it for India

To say Zaheer Khan was all over Bangladesh would be an understatement - he owned them today

  • Dhoni salutes bowlers' effort

MS Dhoni has credited Zaheer Khan and the other bowlers for the thumping ten-wicket victory over Bangladesh that secured a clean sweep
