Shanaka was outstanding, and Andre Fletcher was great alongside Johnson Charles and Kyle Mayers. Everybody played a part today. It was important to build partnerships rather than going helter-skelter, and I thought we paced the innings really well before an explosive finish. [Promoting Shanaka] We've played enough games now to understand our template. Dasun has been in great form, so we wanted to utilize him as much as possible. Today the situation worked out - he got a few more balls and capitalized on every single one. The way he played was so well-poised at the beginning, giving himself a chance before being extremely explosive at the back end, just as we've seen from him over the years. Huge credit to him for how he paced and finished the innings. Honestly, it was a total team effort, and the bowling unit was outstanding as well. [A word for the home fans who stayed behind tonight] To the people of St Kitts and Nevis, thank you so much. The support has been tremendous over the last few days and years. It hasn't always been easy, but you've stuck with us through thick and thin. I just want to personally say thank you for all the backing, and hopefully, this momentum carries us through the rest of the tournament."

Roston Chase: "235 was a very big score, but we know this ground is a chasing ground and those kinds of totals have been knocked off here before. We were confident we could still get there, but we needed a good start in the powerplay. That didn't happen, so we were always on the back foot from there. [Using only five bowlers] In a game like this, I didn't think any bowler was put under extreme pressure until probably the back end, and I didn't want to bring a new bowler into that situation. Shanaka played exceptionally well and put us under pressure, and we didn't take our chances when they came. [Scrappy fielding] I thought we were poor in the field. When you give good players more than one chance on a good wicket and a small ground, they are always going to put you under pressure. The guys coming in after that start had free rein to play their natural game. We were very sloppy in the field, and it cost us the game. [What's next for you after Guyana?] We're off to Barbados next."

Player of the Match, Dasun Shanaka: "Initially, my plan was just to play according to the merit of the ball, the field placements, and what they offered. After getting to about 30 runs, I felt the wicket was really good, so whenever the ball was in my arc, I decided to take my chances. Luckily, everything worked out for me tonight - it was just one of those days. A big thanks to the management, especially Jason and the coach, for sending me higher up the order. I'm really grateful to them. [Whose idea was it to promote you?] Actually, both of them [Coach and Captain]! And of course, the commentators have been talking a lot about it as well, so I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to bat higher up. [Pitch curator and ground staff's credit] Absolutely. I need to give them a big hug, actually, because they've been working so hard to prepare good pitches. To be honest, I really enjoy batting in the Caribbean, and the surfaces here have been fantastic."

Seifert eventually departed right after bringing up his fifth CPL half-century as the Patriots' bowlers kept a firm grip on the game, backed up by a top-notch fielding performance that stood in stark contrast to the Kings' first-innings horror show. Jeremiah Louis did the bulk of the damage in the middle overs, ripping through the lineup and picking up wickets for fun. With this dominant victory, the Patriots wrap up their home leg in style, keeping their playoff hopes alive and well. Louis was the undisputed star with the ball, finishing with sensational figures of 5 for 10. Hasaranga and Nedd chipped in with two scalps each, while Naseem grabbed one. Having seen limited opportunities over the past few years, Jeremiah Louis stepped up when it mattered most and delivered a truly magnificent spell.
