Premier League champions Arsenal host Borussia Dortmund for the Emirates Cup 2026 on Sunday afternoon, as both teams continue their preparations for the new season.

This will be Arsenal's penultimate pre-season friendly of the season, as they host Como at the Emirates Stadium in midweek, before next weekend's curtain-raiser for the season, with Community Shield at Wembley Stadium against Manchester City.

Arsenal have played two games in pre-season so far. They comfortably beat Girona 4-1 in their first friendly, but then lost 3-1 to Real Betis, in a performance that Mikel Arteta said had left his players fuming.

Dortmund have won three and lost one of the pre-season games so far, with the loan defeat coming against Japanese club Cerezo Osaka during their tour of Japan recently. Like Arsenal, Dortmund too have one game of pre-season left -- against Roma next weekend -- before they open their season in a couple of weeks in the German Super Cup against Bayern Munich.

Martín Zubimendi and David Raya are likely to miss this game as well. William Saliba's back injury means he's out for an extended period of time. Captain Martin Odegaard is likely to play his minutes of pre-season in this game.

Borussia Dortmund

Gregor Kobel and Julian Ryerson joined Dortmund's pre-season earlier this week, but Carney Chukwuemeka picked up an injury in their last game. Emre Can and Nico Schlotterbeck are both absentees for the long-term, with both having knee injuries.
