Wyoming Cowboys

Jay Novacek

Jay Novacek
Wyoming Athletics
He might be better known for his accomplishments with those other Cowboys in Dallas, but Novacek will never be forgotten at Wyoming. A consensus All-American in 1984, Novacek set an NCAA single-season record for average yards per reception for a tight end (22.6). He served as team captain that year and helped Wyoming nearly upset national champion BYU. Novacek also earned All-America honors for track and field, placing fourth nationally in the decathlon. The three-time Super Bowl winner with Dallas will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in July. -- Adam Rittenberg
