Latest news from Dolphins camp
Dolphins, All-Pro LB Jordyn Brooks reach 3-year, $51.3M extension

Dolphins offensive tackle Austin Jackson signed a three-year, $36 million extension with the team in 2023, but he has played just 14 games since. After a toe injury limited him to six games last season, Jackson said he feels "better than my normal self" after Miami's first training camp practice of 2026.
Jackson told reporters he felt he rushed himself back from injury last season, but feels 100% as he enters the final year of his contract. His presence will add stability and continuity to a Dolphins offensive line that wants to be known as "maulers" this season in the run game.
Rookie safety Michael Taaffe intercepted his former college teammate Quinn Ewers during team drills.
Linebacker Willie Gay Jr. made the play of the day -- a one-handed pick-six off Cam Miller. Gay was arguably the star of training camp last year, as well, and appears ready to defend his title this summer.
Rookie wide receivers Kevin Coleman and Caleb Douglas both looked explosive when they got their hands on the ball Wednesday. Douglas' best play of the day was a contested catch against JuJu Brents in tight coverage, while Coleman had two plays that went for 10 or more yards.

The Dolphins' veterans reported to the facility Tuesday and coach Jeff Hafley said everyone passed their conditioning test upon returning to Miami Gardens. The team will begin practicing Wednesday, and star running back De'Von Achane will be available.
The newly extended Achane didn't participate in team drills during OTAs or minicamp as he recovered from offseason shoulder surgery. The Dolphins plan to run their offense through Achane following his Pro Bowl season in 2025, and will finally get to see what a backfield with Achane and quarterback Malik Willis looks like.
More observations:
Rookie wide receiver Chris Bell is "in a good place" but there's no public timetable for his return. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list/non-football injury list to start camp. He is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered while playing for Louisville last season.
Offensive tackle Austin Jackson is fully cleared to practice after a toe injury limited him this spring. He is entering the final year of his contract in 2026.
