Gold Coast Titans star AJ Brimson has been granted permission to speak with rival clubs as uncertainty emerges over his future on the Gold Coast.

Sources close to the situation have told ESPN the Titans are open to Brimson exploring his options, despite the 27-year-old remaining contracted to the club through the end of the 2030 season.

The decision allows Brimson and his management to assess interest elsewhere, with rival clubs now able to hold discussions with the former Queensland representative over a potential move.

Brimson has spent his entire NRL career with the Titans after making his debut in 2018 and has developed into one of the club's most prominent players.

Capable of playing fullback, five-eighth and centre, Brimson's availability is expected to generate interest across the competition.

ESPN contacted the Titans for comment.
