Kimi Antonelli has already broken the record books this season as he bids for his first world championship in just his second year in Formula 1.

The Mercedes driver holds the record for the youngest driver to lead a grand prix, the youngest to secure a pole position for a grand prix, the youngest driver to set a fastest lap and the youngest-ever world championship leader.

But as we move into the second half of the season, what are the records he could still break?

Youngest world champion

If the 19-year-old wins the world championship, he will become the youngest driver of all-time to do so -- and by quite some way.

Sebastian Vettel currently holds this record after he won his first title with Red Bull in 2010. He was 23 years and 134 days old.

By the time the 2026 season comes to a close, Antonelli will be 20 years old.

Most wins in a season

Antonelli currently has six victories, but it will be a tall order for him as he would need to win every single race until the end of the season in order to break this record.

Max Verstappen holds the current record with a staggering 19 wins from the 2023 season in what was the most dominant era in Formula 1 history for a driver.

Most consecutive wins in a season

A similar result will be needed from Antonelli here in order to break this record.

He already took five consecutive career victories at the start of the season, but will have to win 10 races in a row to break the record.

It was Verstappen who set this record in 2023.

Most poles in a season

Antonelli currently has six pole positions to his name for the 2026 season.

He will need nine more in order to break the current record set by German driver Vettel. During the 2011 season at Red Bull, he took 15 pole positions in 19 races.

Most podiums in a season

This is a tight record to break this season with only 13 rounds left, but Antonelli will need 12 more podiums to beat Verstappen's record.

The four-time champion was on the podium 21 times out of 22 races during the 2023 season.

Most wins by an Italian

Antonelli has currently equalled this record, which makes it easy to believe that he will likely break it by the time the season has finished.

Alberto Ascari also had six wins in a singular season back in 1952, but if Antonelli gets a seventh win, he will break the record.

Similarly, Ascari also holds the record for the most wins by an Italian over his F1 career with 13.

The records speak for themselves, and this is one Antonelli could definitely be set to break as he continues to add to his impressive list of achievements.
