Kiper mock draft features Reyes

ESPN NFL Draft guru Mel Kiper has come out with the second version of his Mock Draft. You will recall in version 1.0, he had Mohamed Sanu going No. 26 to the Houston Texans.

There has been a bit of a change in version 2.0Insider.

Sanu is out of the first round. UConn defensive tackle Kendall Reyes is in, at No. 31 to the New England Patriots. Kiper says, in part:

He's not going to shed blocks as a brilliant pass-rusher would, but Reyes can develop into the guy who makes everybody else a better pass-rusher because he demands so much blocking help.

Reyes is no doubt moving up draft boards. He surely was helped by his terrific performance during Senior Bowl week. Reyes, at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, turned plenty of heads. He not only played inside during practice, but at end as well. Reyes started the Senior Bowl game, and was credited with one sack.

Kiper also revised his top five prospects by positionInsider. There is a new face on that list as well. Phillip Thomas of Syracuse checks in as the No. 5 safety available.
