DraftCity/DraftExpress

For the last couple of years, one of my favorite websites for draft information has been DraftCity.com. Their writers, especially Jonathan Givony, had a lot of great first-hand stuff.

In the last few weeks, the site had a huge banner headline that Givony was no more:

Effective immediately, Jonathan Givony has been terminated from DraftCity.com because of statements concerning player representative Joel Bell in articles written by Mr. Givony and published on DraftCity.com on April 9, 2005 and thereafter, and Mr. Givony is no longer associated in any way with DraftCity.com.

Since that message was posted, there has been little-to-no new information on the DraftCity website.

Then today I catch wind (via HoopsHype) of a draft website that has a lot of good information. It's called DraftExpress.

Merrily I click over, and DraftExpress is entirely familiar. The layout, the language, the contents, everything is very similar to the old DraftCity I used to know. I clicked on the "columnists" drop-down list, and bingo, here's Givony again. It's like DraftCity never went away.

I'm glad it's back, but clearly, more than a little something is going on behind the scenes. If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear about it.
