Jaden Newman is 11 years old and in sixth grade. She also happens to be on the varsity basketball team at Downey Christian in Orlando, Florida
She also happened to drop 57 POINTS in the team's season opener this week.
Read that again. Let it sink in for a second. An 11-year-old scored 57 points in a high school varsity basketball game.
So ... that's pretty impressive. Elite Mixtapes posted a few highlights of her performance on Instagram that you probably should watch right now.
Reminds me of myself when I was 11. You know, with the exception of being on the high school varsity team and scoring 57 points. So, on second thought, Jaden is nothing like 11-year-old me and just really, really awesome.
