Veteran Parramatta winger Josh Addo-Carr has allegedly tested positive to cocaine for the second time in his NRL career after being pulled over by police for a roadside test.
Parramatta confirmed they were aware of an incident involving the 31-year-old, which reportedly happened in Sydney on Friday night.
"The Parramatta Eels are aware of an alleged incident involving Josh Addo-Carr," the Eels said in a statement on Saturday afternoon.
"The club has notified the NRL Integrity Unit and is co-operating with the appropriate processes, as well as providing welfare support to Josh and his family.
"Parramatta Eels will not be commenting further until the matter has been finalised."
Addo-Carr was sacked by Canterbury in October 2024 after returning a positive reading to a roadside drugs test.
The former NSW and Kangaroos winger maintained he had not knowingly ingested recreational drugs, but the club decided to rip up his contract.
A premiership winner with Melbourne, Addo-Carr had a year remaining on his $500,000 three-year deal with the Bulldogs.
Addo-Carr was handed a four-match ban by the NRL Integrity Unit and a $15,000 fine.
He was also fined $682 and suspended from driving for three months following the incident.
Addo-Carr has been a regular starter in his two seasons with Parramatta.
He scored a try in the Eels' final match of the season, a 24-22 loss to the Dragons on September 6.
