In anticipation of rookie signings, the Cleveland Browns made eight roster cuts Thursday evening.

The players released were kicker Shaun Suisham, running back Thomas Brown, offensive lineman Jason Capizzi, linebacker Auston English, receiver James Robinson and defensive backs John Bowie, Benjamin Burney and Ramzee Robinson.

Suisham was the biggest name on this list. He was Cleveland's top kicker during most of the offseason because kicker Phil Dawson (contract) was a no-show until mandatory minicamp.
