ESPN post-draft power rankings: Ravens back in top 10

Are the 2015 Baltimore Ravens a better team than last year's one? Those who voted in ESPN's post-draft power rankings certainly believe so.

Coming off another well-received draft, the Ravens are ranked No. 7 in the power rankings after finishing last season at No. 11. The Ravens and Miami Dolphins made the biggest jumps since the end of last season.

Last year, the Ravens only reached this high in the rankings once (Week 5 after starting 3-1) and spent the last 10 weeks out of the top 10. The expectations for the Ravens have risen after general manager Ozzie Newsome added playmakers such as wide receiver Breshad Perriman and tight end Maxx Williams to the passing attack.

The Ravens are the highest-ranked AFC North team in the power rankings. The defending division champion Pittsburgh Steelers are No. 9, and the Cincinnati Bengals are right behind at No. 10. The Cleveland Browns had the biggest drop of any team in the power rankings, falling five spots since the end of last season to No. 28.

What does any of this mean? The Ravens ranked No. 13 in last year's post-draft power rankings and finished in the same neighborhood at No. 11. So, the post-draft rankings were close to being on target in 2014.

Let's see if that trend continues for the Ravens this season.
