The most watched bowls in 2010

An estimated 103.9 million viewers tuned in to a college football bowl game last season, the Football Bowl Association announced Tuesday.

On average, 6.1 million viewers watched each game. The Tostitos BCS National Championship Game attracted 27.3 million viewers, the largest audience in cable television history, with Auburn defeating Oregon 22-19 on the final play of the game.

Seven of the 10 most watched bowl games last season featured SEC teams.

5. Tostitos Fiesta Bowl (Oklahoma 48, Connecticut 20): 10.8 million viewers

6. Discover Orange Bowl (Stanford 40, Virginia Tech 12): 10.7 million viewers

7. AT&T Cotton Bowl (LSU 41, Texas A&M 24): 10 million viewers

8. Chick-fil-A Bowl (Florida State 26, South Carolina 17): 7.5 million viewers

9. Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl (North Carolina 30, Tennessee 27, 2 OT): 7.1 million viewers

10. Capital One Bowl (Alabama 49, Michigan State 7): 6 million viewers
