Mike Clay: Jacoby Brissett is a ‘great streamer’ in Week 5 (1:20)

Each week, Eric Karabell ranks players by position based on their fantasy football value for the rest of the 2026 season. Use the information to optimize the players for their future potential and/or to gauge their value in trade. Eric's top 100 can be found below the positions in this column.

Quarterback

Rankings changes: Brock Purdy continues to produce noteworthy numbers, and with Lamar Jackson (ankle) likely to miss at least one game, Purdy moves up to the No. 2 spot. Further down, Jalen Hurts, with fewer fantasy points than Kirk Cousins and C.J. Stroud and roughly the same as Deshaun Watson, leaves the top 10. Bryce Young takes his spot. Cousins finally enters QB2 territory, passing draft-day darling Justin Herbert, who has averaged only 10.9 points per game.

Is Omarion Hampton a good fantasy option in Week 5?

Rankings changes: As with Purdy at QB, we are past the time of rewarding Kenneth Walker III for his early-season dominance. Walker slides into the No. 3 spot at running back. Chuba Hubbard makes the big jump to near RB1 territory, while Bhayshul Tuten earns RB2 status, sliding past the disappointing Omarion Hampton. Injuries fuel the drop for Travis Etienne Jr. and Jadarian Price, as Alvin Kamara and Emanuel Wilson move up.

Mike Clay: CeeDee Lamb is an elite fantasy receiver

Rankings changes: CeeDee Lamb delivered a monster game Sunday and now leads the league in receiving yards. With Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) compromised, Lamb moves into the No. 2 spot. Other movers in a positive way include Nico Collins and Tetairoa McMillan, while DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Ladd McConkey (foot) go the other direction. Free agent Tyreek Hill joins the rankings, but it doesn't mean he plays soon.

Tight end

Rankings changes: Brock Bowers has played in two games and reached 20 fantasy points in each. He has 25 targets. Trey McBride remains awesome, too, but Bowers forces his way into the top spot. George Kittle, with four touchdowns in the past three games, moves up to No. 3. It was a disappointing week for several fellows in Week 4, including Dalton Kincaid, Dalton Schultz, Kenyon Sadiq and Darren Waller, but the position lacks reliable depth to force them down the rankings.
